INCIBE collaborates in the organization of the first Research National Conferences on Cybersecurity

The organization of this first Research National Conference on Cybersecurity (JNIC 2015) is provided by the University of León, in collaboration with INCIBE on behalf the Network of Excellence in R&D&i in Cybersecurity. The call for papers is open until July 31, 2015 and winners of the different categories will be awarded with an invitation for presenting the article or challenge in person, at CyberCamp 2015.

INCIBE  as a key player of the Plan to boost Confidence in the Digital arena (PCD) is leading the creation of a Network of Centres of Excellence in order to provide initiatives that position the national ecosystem of R&D&i in cybersecurity pursuing excellence, transference to industry and talent management in cybersecurity.

Under this initiative, it has been proposed the creation of a Research National Conference focused in cybersecurity as an active and dynamic forum that serves as a meeting for all of those working in the field of cybersecurity research (universities, research institutes, companies, and administration) The purpose is to let the national cybersecurity ecosystem to show the capabilities of the research in this area.

The organization of this first Research National Conference on Cybersecurity (JNIC 2015) is provided by the University of León, in collaboration with INCIBE on behalf the Network of Excellence in R&D&i in Cybersecurity. The desire of the Organization is this event to be successful in this first edition and letting the organization of future editions to be leaded by other research teams in the country.

The call for papers is open until July 31, 2015. Original (and / or already published in 2014 or 2015) works are accepted in the following areas:

  • Cybersecurity Research
  • Teaching innovation in Cybersecurity
  • Research and Innovation in Cybersecurity Industry
  • Workshops Proposals
  • Challenges Proposals

The following awards will be granted during the Conference::

  • Award for the best scientific article.
  • Award for the best educational article
  • Award for the best industrial article
  • Award for the best student article
  • Award for the best doctoral thesis in 2014-2015 on Cybersecurity
  • Award for the best proposed challenge

Winners of the different categories will be awarded with an invitation for presenting the article or challenge in person, at CyberCamp  2015 event, to be held in Madrid on 26, 27, 28 and 29 November 2015.
